When I first planned to have a child, like you do I read and read on babies, progress, what to expect and especially what to do. I read that introducing a language as early as new born was a great benefit, for them to get an ear for a foreign language and would help in later life. I decided that I wanted to give my daughter the best starts and so purchased CDs in Spanish for babies.
When she arrived I searched the Internet for all the different groups and classes within the area I could take her to. I took her every day to different classes from swimming to baby sensory, play groups. Story time. Nursery rhymes.
My favourite and her favourite was always the Spanish class.
I stopped going to all other classes as the experience I gained from coming to the Spanish class far outweighed the other classes and felt it pointless in wasting my time and money in going to the other classes. I found that the Spanish class was all the classes rolled into one. The class has so much variety. It has story time, nursery rhymes, play time, the interaction with other babies and children. Crafts, sensory. Why would I need to go to any other class?
Not only is it all classes rolled into one. I found that my daughter during the classes was entertained, which was amazing.
She has been attending the class since she was 14 weeks old and some of the classes she out grew them very quickly too, where as with the Spanish class it's grown with her. She now at 14 months participates in the class and enjoys the crafts, but her favourite is still story time.
For me personally, I love the family like feel of the class it's very relaxed and the teachers are great with all the children and really get them involved. The parents too are really friendly. It's a great atmosphere. It's a class where everyone gets involved and has a really great time.
The fact that it's all spoken in Spanish is just an added extra and I feel especially bonded with my daughter during the class because I don't speak a word of Spanish and its fantastic because we are both learning something new together.
It makes it all worth it too when I speak words in Spanish and she responds, you don't realise how much they are taking in, but it's amazing what they are actually absorbing.
I really can't express enough what a fantastic class this is, Ashley you should be very proud. It gets a 10 out of 10 for me in all areas.
Really great job. And thank you for starting such an amazing class.
What can we say? WOW! Thanks so much to this mum for the fantastic feedback and most importantly, WELL DONE ASHLEY!!
