What a wonderful weekend at the Mumpreneur Conference and Awards! Angela, founder and MD of Lingotot and Lingotot Marketing Manager, Michelle Rose, travelled down from Co Durham to Warwickshire for a fun-packed weekend. The fabulous Mumpreneur team had lined up some excellent guest speakers, SEVEN of them, all of whom were brilliant. First up was Yasmina Siadatan, winner of the fifth series of BBC1's The Apprentice, who is now the Creative Director of Start-Up Loans Company. |
Next was Bill Morrow from Angel's Den who helps female entrepreneurs access funding for their fledgling business ventures. He was followed by Anna Kennedy OBE. She set up a school for autistic children after her two autistic sons were turned away from mainstream education. As we teach in many special needs schools we'd love to keep in touch with Anne!
We were all surprised by Henry Patterson (10 years old), founder of British children’s brand, Not Before Tea. What a fantastic public speaker! We should teach him some languages so he can deliver speeches internationally. He told us afterwards that although he is successful in business, he gets £5 per week pocket money.
When the awards came along we were delighted to be given the Highly Commended Award in the Engage category. The Engage Award recognises businesses that work in close contact with clients and are based upon interacting with others as an integral part of the work they do. We are so proud!
Thank you so much to all of our customers; babies, toddlers, children, parents, nurseries, schools, tutors and franchisees. We owe our success to you!
